💬 Quote of the Week

I share this wisdom again as a gentle reminder that our lives are on a path of continuous evolution.

Greater bliss.
Deeper understanding.
Expansion of happiness.
Greater knowingness.

Knowingness of what?

That everything is alright.
Everything will be alright.
And looking back on even the most trying times in our lives, everything has always been alright.

If you feel yourself contracting into doubt, return to your meditation practice. From there, you’ll find more perspective to see your story’s true unfolding with greater clarity and grace. ❤️

📚 Knowledge Sesh: Sensitivity Is A Superpower

A fascinating thing happens when you commit to showing up for yourself: your body develops an exquisite sensitivity to what it needs.

Like a finely tuned instrument, it starts picking up on the subtlest signs of imbalance – signals that would have sailed past your previously stressed-out self.

“OH NO, MEDITATION IS MAKING ME WEAK!” – that’s what you might think when this newfound awareness kicks in. Being more receptive and refined in your awareness is not a weakness. It’s making you strong.

This is your consciousness evolving into its most refined state, like upgrading from a black-and-white TV to the newest HD technology. Suddenly, you’re getting those important notifications before things go sideways.

I learned this lesson firsthand during an intensive teaching period in New York City. I played fast and loose with my self-care, working late and eating more takeout than I would like to admit.

Being the wise teacher, my body finally said, “Enough!” with a symphony of achy bones and unmistakable fatigue.

The Universe has a way of making us completely choiceless sometimes. So I surrendered – canceled my plans, nourished myself with a home-cooked meal, and permitted myself to rest deeply.

The next morning? Fresh as a daisy, ready to serve.

This heightened awareness isn’t a weakness – it’s truly your superpower. It’s your body’s sophisticated early warning system, developed through consistent meditation practice, helping you course-correct before small imbalances become full-blown disruptions. And that is what I call evolution in action.

💫 The Vedic Spin: Perfectly Imperfect

Do you ever feel afflicted by “Meditation Perfectionism?” That pesky little voice that whispers, “Hey, Enlightened One, YOU MEDITATE. Shouldn’t you have your stuff together by now?”

That perfectionism shows up when we start believing we’re no longer “allowed” to:

❌ Demolish a pint of cookies and cream ice cream at midnight (because, Ayurveda)
❌ Scream into pillows like we’re auditioning for a Nine Inch Nails cover band (because “enlightened souls” don’t lose their cool, right?)
❌ Ugly cry until our face looks like a Picasso painting (see above)
❌ Turn our sink into a mountain of dirty dishes (isn’t meditation supposed to turn us into Marie Kondo?)
❌ Question what we’re doing with our lives (shouldn’t we be floating on clouds of certainty by now?)

We move through our days wearing our “meditator” badge, playing perfection whack-a-mole with every “un-meditator-like” thought that dares pop up.

But here’s the truth: Being a meditator isn’t about morphing into some perfectly curated Instagram version of spirituality. It’s not about having life color-coded in your Google calendar or always knowing the profound thing to say.

Instead, our practice gives us broad-spectrum access to feel deeply and fully. With greater consciousness and stability, we’re like emotional sommeliers, finally able to taste and appreciate every note of our inner experience—the sweet, the bitter, and yes, even the what-is-going-on-right-now moments.

So consider this your permission slip to feel it all, because feeling is how we move through it. There’s no instruction manual for life—only wakefulness to navigate this beautiful mess.

What does this look like in practice?

✅ Rock that midnight ice cream party (and notice how your body feels about it tomorrow)
✅ Let that pillow have it (then get curious about what’s really cooking under that frustration)
✅ Ugly cry like you’re winning an Oscar (because better out than in!)
✅ Let those dishes marinate in possibility (they’ll still be there after meditation)
✅ Question where this life thing is all going (with the understanding that evolution is all that’s ever happening)

And remember, through it all, the vast, deep field of the Being—that experience you merge with inside meditation—is with you. Continue to show up for your practice, and you’ll feel that Universal quality weaving through every perfectly imperfect moment of this beautiful human experience.

Keep going. You’ve got this. I’m here for you 💪
