💬 Said Simply

Next time you feel guilty about taking 20 minutes to meditate instead of answering emails, remember this: rested people get more done. Not just more busy work, but more meaningful, aligned work that actually moves the needle and stirs the bliss.

Think of it this way: Would you rather spend your day like a frazzled hamster on a wheel, running in place, or like a well-rested archer who hits the bullseye on the first shot?

We don’t need to choose between productivity and peace. The Vedic approach says they’re best friends who work beautifully together.

✨ The Cosmic Giggle

“It’ll slow down after this week.”
Said every adult, every week… until eternity.

The world doesn’t hand out gold stars for slowing down.

Pauses have to be strategically chosen and honored.

In Veda, the body of knowledge from which Vedic Meditation originates, rest is not a side note. It’s the foundation.

When we give ourselves real rest, everything shifts.
Our thinking becomes sharper. Our bodies replenish.
And we begin making decisions from clarity, not exhaustion.

Don’t wait for life to make space for you.

Choose intentional pauses to pull back the bowstring so that when you act, it’s with ever more purpose, precision, and power.

🧠 Hot Take

The Internet Says:
The New York Times recently reported that if you can’t fall asleep, you should try, among other things… reading a nutrition label.

(If you think I’m three months late for April Fools’ Day, you can read the full article here.)

My Take:
Sure, there are some interesting ideas in the piece (box breathing, I see you).

But these three tips?

Just because it’s printed in the paper doesn’t make it true. 😆

When we wake up in the middle of the night, it’s because the nervous system is stirred awake, working overtime to process the stress we didn’t release during the day. It’s that overstimulation that pulls us out of sleep and makes it hard to settle back in.

This being the case, it’s counterproductive to respond with even more stimulation.
Reading, flipping on lights, drinking cold water, or eating… all of these activities excite the body when what it needs is to settle.

So what actually helps?

  1. Get to bed before 10:00 p.m.
Draft off your body’s natural rhythm to unwind. It’s weird, but it’s science-backed, and it works.
  2. Set the temperature nice and cool.
68°F (20°C) is the sweet spot for sound sleep.
  3. If you’re up and thirsty, drink warm water.
It soothes instead of jolting the system with ice-cold water.

Most importantly, make a plan to regularly release stress, so you don’t carry it into bed in the first place.

I may be a little biased, so feel free to discount this by about 40%, but… Vedic Meditation is the best antidote to insomnia in town.

When you meditate consistently, you stay ahead of the daily buildup of stress. You clear the backlog, so when it’s time to sleep, your body gets the message: it’s safe to rest now.
