WHAT IS ROUNDING?

Known as “industrial strength meditation,” Rounding is an enjoyable practice that prepares your mind and body for a profoundly deep meditation.

A ‘Round’ is a specific sequence of the following relaxing activities:

  • 10 minutes of gentle asanas (stretches that anyone can do)
  • 5 minutes of an easy breathing exercise
  • 20 minutes of Vedic Meditation
  • 10 minutes of lying down rest

On a Rounding Retreat, we perform multiple Vedic Rounding sequences in a day for transformational stress release.

Rounding on retreat provides the equivalent stress release of 6 months of twice-daily meditation.

A MESSAGE FROM SUSAN

When we’re living on the go, even one evening of relaxation can seem luxurious.

But a few hours a week is hardly enough to bring our nervous system back to balance and purify the stress we’ve accumulated over our lifetime.

Vedic Rounding is like an oasis for your body. It prepares you for deep, profound meditations and enables “industrial strength” stress release when performed in cycles with a Vedic Meditation teacher in an in-person retreat.

The experience of shedding months of stress and restoring balance to our mind and body is nothing like you’ve experienced before.

As stress embedded deep in the recesses of your physiology lifts away, you feel the world open up. You’ll come away from our retreat feeling enlivened and refreshed, with more creativity and resilience. You’ll be ready to take on the world with an abundance of joy and bliss.

I’m excited to share this transformational experience with you this summer at one of our favorite destinations. I hope to see you there!

Love and Jai Guru Deva,

Susan

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend a Rounding retreat?

This retreat is open to all graduates of an in-person Vedic Meditation course.

If I don’t yet practice Vedic Meditation, can I still register?

You may register for the Rounding retreat now and make arrangements to learn Vedic Meditation before joining us on retreat.

Where is Lakewood, Wisconson? How do I get there?

Lakewood is a small town in Northern Wisconsin. The drive into Lakewood from Chicago is about 4 hours, and once you’re on property, you’ll have more than 400 acres of private land to call your own.

You’ll arrive to Lakewood via a luxury van that we’ll arrange for you.  All you need to do is book your flights to Chicago O’Hare, and we’ll take care of the rest.

It’s a pilgrimage, and when you see the land and be in community on our Rounding Retreat, you’ll be so glad you made the trip!

Will you arrange transportation to Camp Veda for me?

Yes, we are taking care of all transportation and logistics for you to arrive to Camp Veda comfortably.

Transportation to and from Chicago O’Hare is included in your retreat fee.

What will the food be like? Do you cater to dietary restrictions?

Our Rounding Retreat will feature gourmet farm-to-table, vegetarian meals prepared by a celebrated chef who also practices Vedic Meditation. There will be gluten-free and dairy-free options at every meal; please let us know if you have any additional restrictions, preferences, or allergies.

What happens if I release stress physically or emotionally on my Rounding retreat?

Stress release is a normal and natural process of participating in a residential Rounding Retreat. While most experiences on retreat are blissful and joyous, one may experience some fatigue or emotional release as layers of stress are released from the physiology. We will be personally overseeing the Vedic rounding experiences of all meditators on retreat and will gently guide you through the process of release.

What is the refund policy for this event?

If you need to cancel your attendance for any reason, we will do our best to fill your space and refund you the retreat fee minus the $500 non-refundable deposit per participant.

EXPERIENCE A TRANSFORMATIONAL ROUNDING RETREAT OF DEEP REST, WISDOM, AND NEW CONNECTIONS.

Re-enter your life with more presence, resilience, and joy for living after a profound week of Rounding on retreat.
